Reasons for using youtube:

Ranks #1 out of all video sharing sites online
35% of youtube users are aged between 18-34 which is a large portion of our primary audience of 15-25 year olds.
The gender ratio is basically even at 49/51
52% of 18-34 year olds share videos often with collegues and friends which means that if we can break through using a hype-generated marketing scheme then viewers sharing the video (word of mouth) will be a large part of our youtube marketing.
As you can see in the picture, there is a chance to advertise the band's upcoming live show via "Playing at->" There is also the option to link to iTunes which we could use to sell our song.
By signing up to vevo we would also be able to post our video onto vevo and youtube, potentially getting the users from both of these sites aware of our band.
